Simone Fulda becomes new president of Kiel University

The new president of Kiel University (CAU) is Professor Dr. med. Simone Fulda. This was decided by the Senate of the Schleswig-Holstein State University in a secret ballot on Wednesday, June 24.

The term of office is six years. As President, Fulda will represent the university and will manage the day-to-day business. Following her election, the new President said: "My vision for the future is to develop the CAU into one of the 15 excellent universities in Germany with international visibility. I see the CAU as a worldwide network university and at the same time as a central player in science and society on site". The new President intends to take office in Kiel as soon as possible.
